If the hotel restaurant is responsible for causing food poisoning, you may claim medical expenses and/or compensation. However, you will need to prove that the dish served by the restaurant was the cause of the food poisoning. That will require a medical certificate from a doctor. Or you would need to notify a public health center and have them conduct a thorough investigation. Unless you are able to prove that linkage to your food poisoning it will be difficult to claim damages from the restaurant. You will need to identify the cause of the food poisoning as specifically as possible, and acquire documentation that shows the cause was the food or drink served at the restaurant.
