During my visit to Japan, I reserved accommodations on a reservation site but did not receive a confirmation e-mail. Is it OK to book another accommodation?

Before booking different accommodations, make sure that the first one is not booked. If the first accommodation is booked, you will end up booking two accommodations and will have to pay for both. If you cancel one of them, you may have to pay a cancellation fee. Regarding how to confirm the reservation of the first accommodation, start by checking if there is a reservation confirmation e-mail. Typically, you will receive a reservation confirmation e-mail within a certain period of time after you have submitted your reservation request. If there is a feature on the reservation site that allows you to check your reservation status, use it to do so. If you still cannot confirm your reservation, we recommend that you contact them directly by e-mail or phone.
